Oil soars over $94 US a barrel on supply worries Posted: 2 years ago by tundramonkey
Oil prices have risen more than 50 per cent since the start of the year, though the price hit an all-time high of $99US last month.
The good news is that I think this will encourage more people to buy more fuel efficient vehicles and make energy-saving changes to their homes.

Students Who Support Demoted Principal Suspended (I was in this) Posted: 2 years ago by cycostinkoman
I wouldn't normally post a news story like this, but I was part of this. We got a letter in the mail Friday saying that our principal was demoted and they said nothing more. So all the students got together and said to wear all black, and to sit in intersection of the math and science hallways in our school before our first hour, and dont move.
I was one of the people there for the sit-in (no I wasnt one of the suspended). Around 200 kids showed up, and for such a small school, it was incredible.
The case is under review, and from what I hear (not a student rumor, this is from a teacher) is that one of the people in another high leadership position is the person that got him in trouble, and they never saw eye to eye.

Product Creation Tip - Innovation & The Risks Posted: 2 years ago by sat789
Alright, we’re moving on to something slightly different now. I want to talk to you a little bit about innovation and the risks. This is a hard subject for me to talk about, because I’ll be honest, I’m the type of person that wants to change the world overnight. I’m impatient, I always want to be original and do something totally out of the ordinary. It’s getting to the point now where I can risk doing that, but it wasn’t always the case.

12 of the World’s Most Mysterious Monuments & Ruins Posted: 7 months ago by AutumnLotus
Around the world, in places as diverse as Homestead, Florida and Yonaguni, Japan stand monuments and ruins whose origins are shrouded in mystery. Nobody knows exactly why Stonehenge was built, how a set of manmade ruins came to be submerged deep in the ocean or who commissioned a giant carved granite set of post-apocalyptic instructions for rebuilding society on a remote hill in Georgia.

Zeitgeist, documentary Posted: 2 years ago by unzercharlie
A film that may enrage, empower, inspire, or leave you feeling a bit helpless. However it makes you feel, it's definitely worth watching. Zeitgeist was created to inspire people to start looking at the world from a more critical perspective and to understand that very often things are not what the population at large think they are.
