Harry Patch, the last soldier to fight in the trenches of Europe during World War I, died Saturday at the age of 111, his care home in Britain said.

Patch, who fought at the notorious Battle of Passchendaele in 1917, was also Britain's oldest man following the death of fellow veteran Henry Allingham, the oldest man in the world, one week ago.

Apparently one of the voting machines had a plastic stylus instead of an ink stamp. The pollworkers apparently overrode the machine when it said the ballots were blank.... It only affected 20 ballots, and somehow they were able to contact those voters to return and re-vote.... And you thought LA was bad!
