Weed aficionados like to wax rhapsodic about different types of grass using terms often used by wine connoisseurs. They talk about earthy or fruity tones, a head or body buzz, light or muscular highs, and modest or beefy yields on a crop. But at the end of the day, despite their efforts to somehow legitimize marijuana by promoting its use, they are promoting an illegal and self-destructive activit... read full post picked by 1krazykorean 11 months ago 5 comments edit related share entertainment |
I was allowed taste my parents wine and once I was about 12 I was allowed have half a glass Sat nights with dinner. I was also allowed have a drink at holidays and family occasions. Now, at 22, I barely drink at all. I never had much of a teen rebillion with alcohol, not having the facination with it my friends did. I think my parents did the right thing. picked by Marz 2 years ago 14 comments edit related share plime.com |

Apparently, in past years, attendees who've consumed more than 24 cans of beer or four litres of wine (impressive) have been involved in drunken fights and other scenes of violence. One wonders if something similar might occur in the states if any of the NASCAR events lasted three days straight. picked by Bornbad 2 months ago 3 comments edit related share world |

Before Keith, cookery shows on TV were staid affairs, confined to a studio and with all the disasters and failures edited out. Keith showed us cookery, warts and all. Normally to be found with a wine glass in his hand, the calm centre of a maelstrom of chaos he was nothing if not a showman. Earlier this year he was diagnosed with bowel cancer but died last night (15th September 2009) of a heart... read full post picked by pocksucket 3 months ago 1 comments edit related share plime.com |

You may have tasted mulled wine before, but if you're an American you've probably never drank anything but ice cold beer. Obviously beer used to be drank warm, some prefer it that way. On a cold winter night a nice hot mug of mulled beer might be just the thing to keep you warm. picked by bernardblack 1 year ago 0 comments edit related share plime.com |

It comes in a champagne-style bottle, is best drunk from a wine glass, and costs $70 a bottle. It's in the Queen's cellar; and the maker says it has traces of vanilla and curry leaf, with hints of honey and passionfruit. Sound like one of those pompous descriptions for a luxury wine? picked by kakana 4 months ago 5 comments edit related share world |
