Tiny Wind Turbines That Could Power A Home Posted: 5 months ago by sandossu
Everybody wants to have a cleaner Earth, but few of them take any actions. One of those people is Doug Selsam, who designed high-power wind turbines that can generate enough energy to power a home. The wind turbines measure about 14-18 inches in diameter and they can generate an impressive amount of 200 watts for a 20 mph wind, but the wind turbines could do better if the winds are stronger.

i would love to have these attached to my home! i have been investigating placing a larger wind turbine on my property but they are cost prohibitive because of the towers you have to build to hold them. if they make these so they can be attached directly to your home for a relative low cost i would order them today!

i live in Oklahoma and i think we have had 20+ mph winds for the last 3 months! this would give me a reason not to hate the wind.

Why not attache the wind turbines to your electic powered vehicle save up some battery power.

WANT! We nearly always have a good breeze up here, and we would adore a windmill! The vertical ones are nicer, and less dangerous to wildlife.

The biggest problem is the backup in the LA DWP offices. They have a waiting list to put solar paneled houses on the grid of several weeks.
