Ever wonder if some of the world's most famous artists became mental simply because people took their art seriously?

Van Gogh never sold a painting while he was alive. NO ONE except his brother took him very seriously.

A great teacher of mine once said that the incredible artists and writers were great partially because they felt something with more intensity than regular people can handle, more regularly. And they had to express those powerful emotions, and that is what gives us great art.

I've always felt that was powerful.
