Besides the mother/son father/daughter inbreeding thing I don't understand how this is different than dog, cat or even horse breeding? You breed for a desireable trait, and most of them time get a defects or two as well. Ask any purebred English Lab, Dane, or Shepard owner about the dog's hips.

Inbreeding is wrong period. you can breed cats, horses, and dogs without resorting to inbreeding.

Inbreeding of close relatives is an issue when the genetic pool is very small. The population has to be large enough to avoid genetic defects.

I am glad the word is getting out since I knew about the white tiger marketing ploy in the 1970s...but they attract crowds and make money for those with them.
