It sounds like the plot for a scary B-movie: Germs go into space on a rocket and come back stronger and deadlier than ever. Except, it really happened.

Sounds to me like another zombie film. Antidotes taken to space, get stronger, but unknowingly are infected with zombie radiation. Cures cancer on Earth, but zombifies the humans until there is nothing left but bacon.

that'd be useful. if it could work. Actually the antibodies most people have are exactly strong enough. When they get "stronger" or change they attack healthy parts of your body which cause a whole host of problems like "Goodpasture syndrome", "Rheumatoid arthritis","lupus" and many more.

I can only think that astronauts travelling to Mars will have to cook their food really well, so as not to get sick.
I hope the astronauts don't undergo similar changes as the germs did, or they will come back to Earth and their mutated offspring will outlive all of us.
(Talk about a plot for a B-movie...!)
