Girls shatter glass ceiling at science competition
Girls shatter glass ceiling at science competition
Girls swept a prestigious high school science competition for the first time Monday, winning top prizes of $100,000 scholarships for their work on potential tuberculosis cures and bone growth in zebrafish.
It was the first time girls had ever won the grand prizes in both the team and individual divisions of the Siemens Competition in Math, Science and Technology. picked by marli 10 months ago

heh. I was there for that. Had dinner with both the girls, Amanda's parents, and their coach.

...if you were wondering how I got to go...I'm an alumni, went to nationals last year.

Go REGION 4!!! (Alicia Darnell (obv. a girl, also took 2nd place in the individual competition))
I was actually expecting the females to win this year, as the male projects were really dull and not as deeply researched in terms of references. Once again though, the charismatic Asian was at the bottom of the individual competitions. Ooh well. Maybe next year.

Actually, kinda yes. The special dining hall floor had a wraparound window and lots of skylights.
