Wait a sec. In the first sentence they say it's related to the armadillo. In the second sentence they say:

"It looks different than almost anything out on the landscape today. There really isn't anything that's comparable today in terms of its body form," said John Flynn of the American Museum of Natural History in New York.

And it looks distinctly similar to an armadillo. What am I missing?

"Parapropalaehoplophorus was covered by a shell of immovable armoured plates, different from the hinged rows of plates on today's armadillos."

Granted but still to say there "isn't anything that's comparable" is a misstatement. An armadillo is comparable.
