I seem to remember a wind powered cargo ship before. It had masts with solid sails controlled by computer.

I know there are certain wind currents that blow along trade routes, but you would be at the mercy of them. I applaud this effort and hope that success is achieved. You can't make progress until you start thinking outside the box.

That is so cool! I want to see it sailing .... off to google some pics....

It's neat to think that we've almost come full circle with ships - it was wind power that got those Europeans across the pond back in 1492, and it's wind that might send them back now.
