Lol. That page has changed alot since I visited last.

I just added "date/marry a pilot" to the breeding section. I know more geologists dating pilots than anyone.

That includes me :)

So before I get my pilot's license, what's the ratio of hot female geologists to male pilots?

My major in college WAS geophysics. I did great in my geology classes, it was the math that killed me. I dropped out and now look at me. A retired military man working in the IT field. I am still a geologist at heart though.

You still are a geologist at heart. I think being bad at math is a requirement to becoming a geologist. I passed calculus on the first try, but I'm in the minority.

Math is for engineers and geofantacists, sorry geophysicists.

Yes, I'm a geologist too. I've seen that uncyclopaedic description earlier, but I note it's been "improved", or should I say that some "accretion has taken place"?

A couple of months ago, while talking to a World Bank official about mining and sustainable development, about corporate social responsibility of mining companies, etc., I was told that I sounded like a sociologist! She said she meant it as a compliment...

I majored in geology and physics for my first degree, had dreams of doing geophysics in those days. That's before I found out how much math is involved, and how much black-box manipulation.

So now look at me: a consultant advising a government department in Africa, paid for by the European Union.
