These poor, poor animals... their life has been severely shortened due to the irresponsible care of their owners. Of course it shouldn't surprise me, if human beings forsake their own care, there should be no reason why the pets they hold so dear for companionship and such should be better off than they are.

I freak out if my cat gains a pound... similarly, I freak when I gain a pound :P
