And here I thought you told me that he was going to be Bush 3.
But I guess not...
And didn't I predict in another thread that you would do just this?
If the opinion is similar to Bush's, he's Bush 3, and that's bad... if it's different, he can't unify the party, and that's bad.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

No, they'll come around. There comes a time where you have to make some unpopular choices, and McCain is not afraid to drag out the party's dirty laundry.
Don't expect him to show up at a Greenpeace cookout though.

Don't expect him to show up at a Greenpeace cookout though. According to some Republican strategists (namely Newt Gingrich) the "environment issue" has hurt Republicans, and they need to come around more... so McCain's idea is hardly revolutionary.
Personally, I think this issue has become over politicized, with both sides over reacting. Perhaps this might lead to some actual middle-of-the-road progress. But, knowing Congress... they'll screw it up somehow.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. 1. I thought it would be self evident that this is a move away from the rest of his Bush stances. Um, that's part of the point of the article. Notice the headline?
2. Your predictions are uncanny. But there's no comment that I made that indicates whether this is good or bad. It's Republican so it speaks for itself. Some followers will be upset by his flip from the mantra. Not good or bad just usual MCCain.
3.Keep going, I'm beginning to see evidence of a thought process forming.

There will be no progress in this country until there is personal accountability. Whether its the Administration, Congress or the House...

Whether its the Administration, Congress or the House... I agree about personal accountability... and that (IMO) is the problem with congress... too many people who are faceless, nameless, and unaccountable to the people who have actually voted for them.
If it was more well publicized what Senators and Representatives were saying on behalf of their "constituents," their constituents might think differently.

Not good or bad just usual MCCain.
So "usual McCain" does his own thing... doesn't always follow Bush... and thusly shouldn't really be considered "Bush 3?" Is that what you're saying? Because, that I agree with.

Nope, wrong again. I never said that.
One small step forward in a very long journey is more accurate.
And that would be, what?
OK, so I was wrong about #3.

OK, so I was wrong about #3. You subtle insults are amusing... although, they would probably have more bite if you had the courage to say what you really felt more clearly, instead of in code.
But if it makes you feel good, knock yourself out. I'll stick to clear, concise, and logical.
