Who would see "ONE of the world's largest tarantulas" and not keep an eye on it? If it is in fact "ONE of the world's largest tarantulas"
DON'T YOU THINK THE PEOPLE WHO SAW IT WOULD BE ABLE TO.... KEEP AN EYE ON IT? Where is this spider? Did it just disappear? Gone up in a poof of smoke?
If I saw one of the
'world's largest tarantulas" I would be trying to determine a YouTube way of killing that thing.

I think it would also eat small children! That thing was HUGE. If I ever saw something like that and it wasn't behind secure glass, I would probably wet myself.

Damaging the spider is not what would worry me. Kill it kill it kill it kill it.

Isn't this the same species of spider they used to portray the giant killer spider in arachnophobia?

On the other hand, if these things aren't fatal to humans, are borrowing (don't spin huge webs), and it eats birds, perhaps we should get a few more, all the same gender, to start taking care of those darn winged-rats (pigeons).

I'm not going to claim I knew the answer. I did have to look it up, but no - the ones in Arachnophobia were Avondale Spiders.
