Orangutan used as Sex Slave in Borneo
Orangutan used as Sex Slave in Borneo
Pony was shaved, and tied by the ankle to a wall in a hut. When customers came to look at her, she would "present" herself to them. It took over a year to finally rescue her. This Link Is of a YouTube video, explaining the plight of Orangutans like Pony in Borneo. If you don't want to watch it all, skip forward to 12.47 where they show some footage of Pony, and speak about her rescue. picked by Marz 3 months ago

Despicable. Almost as bad as what they do to the rest of the orangutans. I've seen little baby orangutans sold as pets in open air marketplaces before, and it's horrible, especially when you realize that in order to get the mother to give up the baby, they have to kill her. The baby is then pried from her dead body and sold.

Yet another reason to hate people.

Yes, bad wrong and sick, but I'm a lot less concerned about Orangutans than I am about the thousands upon thousands of humans who are currently slaves.

But... several people worked for over a year to rescue her, and then 35 military police officers protected them while they got her out.

So there's hope. *hug*

Whilst true, I think this is a shocking portrait of humanity. I think that what we do to animals can often show what we are capable of.

I won't watch the video. I find it sickening what humans are capable of doing to animals. Since rescuing our Rottweiler and volunteering in rescue, it gives you a different outlook on the world around us.

It's very bleak. In general, people suck.

Animals can not defend themselves to what we humans do to them.

My wish for anyone that tortures an animal, is to rot in hell. And that's being "nice".

Okay... this was printed in a Vice Magazine like a year ago.. It's done the rounds a couple of times.. it pops up on reddit again, Marz scrapes it and all the noobs go hysterical. It's a sick story, but hardly new news.

I just wish the video page had a donation link. I've seen other programs about the rescue group, they do amazing work with little funding, and deserve much more.

First, I didn't realise Suebe or a few others who commented, never mind up voted, were noobs. And I don't see anyone getting hysterical. I also don't read Reddit, Digg or any other of those sorts of sites, so if it has been on those, sorry, I didn't realise. And anyway, not everyone on here, like me, reads those sites, so what harm if it has appeared there already?
tThe date is old, but I had never seen it before. Who's to say others had? As I already explained above, I did search (Using both Plime search and Google) to see if it had already been posted, but I skimmed over 2manys post, as its headline was obscure (Though fitting!). And anyway, even if I had seen 2Manys, it was over 6 months ago. Well over the time limit many Plimates put on Dupes. Also, I don't believe that any other link included the video, which I did (In my description.).
I don't appreciate you saying I "scraped" it. It makes me think you mean I grabbed a heart wrenching story, just to Karma whore. I didn't. I saw this story, it was new to me. I did a bit more digging, and found the video, and decided to post.
