I hope they don't let people get too near the edge before bringing them back for the sake of the study. this isn't Flatliners!

They're not going to take healthy people and cut their heart out, you know.
You can 'survive' (that is, the brain stem is not damaged) anywhere between 10 seconds and an hour after you stop breathing.
It's this portion of time they're interested in.

They'll work as normal to resucciate the people, and interrogate them when and if they do wake up.

Well no, I didn't mean that... but let's say there is a guy coming in with symptoms - do you think there might be some tempation there to allow for it to go from 'attack' to arrest?

I'm sort of tounge and cheek here...but what if?

I realised, and it's an interesting point nonetheless...

But the worst part is, if they did, and someone died... There'd be no trial, no prosecution. Another death in the name of science is not worth such hassles.
