There are thousands of people on about five blocks downtown. It's absolute maddness. Oh my god, it's crazy out there.

Edit: KU beat North Carolina. If you didn't know, KU's old coach, Roy Williams, left KU a couple of years ago to coach NC. This game wasn't just KU vs someone; it's a personal victory for KU (and Lawrence).

I'm watching the news (which I don't normally do). They're live downtown. It's like a giant block party, but instead of BBQ, it's just beer. The reporters are being given high-fives and hugs, and since it's live, one "f**k YEAH!" slipped in.

Update: 7am: horns still honking. Litter clean-up crews everywhere, street cleaners going three times on each street. It's a mess. And it's going to be even worse if they win on Monday.

I live right here in San Antonio where the game was played and there wasn't any rioting or looting here. Still peaceful and calm. You Kansans are a bunch of thugs.
