This post touched me. Seriously. Watching my beloved Flyers trade away players like Justin Williams and Patrick Sharp for years while picking up garbage like Pat Faloon and Alexader Daigle all the while treading water in the standings was heartbreaking. Me thinks the Leafs are guilty of many of the same sins. You've gotta go youth, and I think they tried to do that this year but Sundin wouldn't allow it.

Enter Paul Holmgrem. Alexei Zhitnik turns into Braydon Coburn, Peter Forsberg becomes Kimmo Timmonen et al, and we are back in the playoffs, making some noise. The point is... take heart. The Leafs are just a couple of good trades and a free agent signing from being back in the dance.

Not much fun for 40 minutes. Stars still up 2-1.

Seriously, that last game against Bruins was great. The Bruins are surprisingly good. They play rough, they play well. I was scared, and my blood pressure was high. That damn Lucic, I want him for Montreal.

Hey I got hurt playing hockey...ok so I'm not professional and its an adult mens league, but before the season ender I led our league in majors for fighting, but oddly enough not penalty minutes, and I was 3rd for d-men in goals. no one thanked the Hockey Gods i was ok, which was probably why i'm having surgery......damn it i gotta get better looking or a contract....i want groupies damn it! maybe if i was Canadian?
