You're right that it isn't a dupe. You're correct that the link should have been checked first. However many of us have made the same mistake.

Commenting on it as the entire part of your description is probably not the best way to get your point heard.

Also you may want to take note that Maven kindly upvoted your edit so as not to hurt your karma.

I have changed the description so it is more obvious that it is a follow-up. Properly describing your links will help prevent someone from mistakenly thinking it was a downvote Your original description sounded like it was a dupe.

Downvoting someone for posting that it's a dupe is poor manners, particularly when they DO make certain not to knock your karma around in the process.

Down voting someone who did not even bother to click the link that was posted and linked to a totally different link under a link that said "DUPE" is KARMA. in my opinion.
