Well, for DREAM car... as in, I will not own it until I'm old and gray because that's the only time we'll have the money to buy it and the time to restore it...
'56 Bel Air, and I need it to have 4 doors.
The really sad thing about that car, is that I found one for sale in Laramie when I lived there. The guy had no idea what he had. He just had no knowledge of old American cars and what they go for, so he was only asking $3,000, and it was in really good condition. Needed some new interior, but the paint was all original and in beautiful condition. When I was talking to him about it, it was so obvious he didn't even like it. He kept saying "It's so old... Come, I have better one over here..." because he just couldn't understand why someone would be interested in a 50-year-old car. I was seriously trying to sell both my pickup truck and my old Chevy Citation in order to buy that car, but before I could someone snatched it up.
My more practical dream car is a VW Passat wagon. It was like someone just switched on a nerd button when I had a kid, because now I really like the Volkswagen and Subaru station wagons. I see them and think "God, I could fit my kid, my dogs, and my groceries in there with no problems" and drool...
are we talking about dream cars that actually exist, or dream cars that are customized? if the former, then i'll take a Smart FourTwo, in blue. if the latter ...
a Volkswagon New Beetle with large sunroof, custom painted like a rainbow swirl tie-dye t-shirt with black wheel wells, and reflective white paint on the bumpers. white neon outline in the windows, and a large spinning toy turn-key on the hatchback door. if i had 3dCG skills before now, i'd show a picture of the concept.
