Would you pay $1,600 for a keyboard?
Would you pay $1,600 for a keyboard?
Well if it's a completely customizable back lit keyboard with all kinds of freaking awesome features I just might!
Make sure you watch the demo movie. picked by bonsai1776 5 months ago

Nice, but I wouldn't pay for one. Might steal one.

This keyboard is old (before December) so I wouldn't be surprised if this is dupe. If not then great post and if I had the money I might wait till the next gen comes out then deff buy.

This keyboard has been hyped for years now, but I fail to see how its functionality justifies its price.

Customizing keys to open applications: I can program the buttons on my logitech mouse to open applications, which cost me $30.

usb hub: I have enough on my computer

OLED keys: cool :)

Play Quicktime movie on a Key: why?!

If this keyboard was a lot less expensive, I would jump on it, but definitely not at $1600

I'd buy it. It was designed for people who don't need to justify spending $1600. I'm not in that boat yet, but I certainly hope to be one day. If I had that kind of cash, I'd definitely drop it on something as cool/unique/geeky as this.

Prices for things like this are justified for the price more than the features. People enjoying buying status symbols of whatever sort. I bet if the keyboard sold for $400 it wouldn't sell at all.

It would be too high for people with common sense and not high enough for people to feel like they are in an exclusive club.

Where did the $1600 price tage come from? I didn't see it on that article and it's listed as under $500 here:

...Not that I'd pat $500 for one either. :) For that price I can get a touch screen monitor.

Does anyone even look at their keyboard when typing?
