Yahoo! Messenger comes packed up with very annoying ads that are displayed in the main messenger window, the chat window and the webcam window..

Or, just use a superior alternative client.
I run MSN, AIM, YIM, ICQ, and IRC on Trillian and use a third of the resources any one of these clients would use alone. 100% adware/spyware/bloatware free.
