Extracting water from thin air Posted: 2 years ago by Fanatic
It costs $30 per gallon to get water to U.S. soldiers in arid areas, so having a water extraction plant would be a big help. A small company has figured out how to extract water from the air, even at humidity levels as low as 14%, for 30 cents per gallon. DARPA is very interested.

Fascinating!
It'll be even better when this is used not merely for troop support but for people living in arid lands. Or would that be a bad thing from a "national defense" perspective?
