This thing is scary. It'll answer any legitimate question you ask it. Any question at all.

You can have all kinds of fun with this.
Try these questions:
What is the average airspeed of an unladen swallow?
What is the answer to life, the universe, and everything?

Unfortunately, it's not perfect. Asking 'if a tree falls in a forest, does it make a sound?' returns "I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer.', as do other paradoxes.

It also works for weather, too...
Try this: 'How is the weather in [cityname] [today/tomorrow]?

It couldn't tell me who killed JFK, or why men have nipples. But it didn't say it did not know, it said no one has told it the answer yet!

Maybe, "Who wrote the book of Love?"....

Did you write the book of love?
Do you have faith in god above?
If the Bible/Qur'an/Torah/Book of Mormon/Tripitaka/Guru Granth Sahib/Kitab-i-Aqdas/Jain Shrut/Avesta/Bhagavad Gita/other tells you so...

You know, I always thought that song was a little lacking in meter there.

Well, not to be a pedant* but in the context of American Pie it was Charles Patrick, lead singer of The Monotones and writer of this song:

<a href='http://www.plime.com/redir.p?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzOvpfeGRWY' class='plime' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'><b>flash video</b></a>

Although, and still not being pedantic here, honest, (and to cut off anyone who was itching to contradict me) as the song title is (Who wrote) The Book of Love then Charles Patrick would really be the answer to the question "Who asked the question 'Who wrote the book of love?'".

*OK, that was all totally pedantic and that disclaimer did nothing to disguise it.

As to the search engine itself, it's quite easily outwitted. It took me 4 simple questions until it it got one right.

"Why do cats purr?" - it doesn't know
"Who is Jack Skellington?" - not a clue
"How does chemotherapy work?" - say what?
"What books has Adam Hughes worked on?" - hasn't the foggiest
"Who wrote "Stardust"? - it tried to answer, but failed. It assumed I was talking about the movie, not the book. Then it tried to query the IMDB, but couldn't find the information.

These are literally the first five questions I gave it.

I asked it how much childbirth hurts. It said "Unfortunately, I wasn't told how much the childbirth hurts."

Someone should tell it.

Strangely enough, that's the first question that popped into my head when I clicked the link.

I can't beleive it actually said 42.
Maybe it has a sarcasm generator?

Nowhere close to "any question".

When did Franz Reichelt die?
(it doesn't know)

What is the critical mass of U-235?
(it doesn't know)

The movie Troy is based on what historical war?
(doesn't know)

This program isn't nearly as good as a person with the Internet.
