um....it will still be loads of civilians dying, but i imagine the news will be full of, or only show, "really cool" footage of robots...

fog of war, my ass...

I am beginning to hope all this armageddon crap is for real...i am tired of living in a society and a world that would create robot soldiers but can't find a way to feed, clothe, and house everyone...

For real.

It's not enough that we are still fighting primitive wars over such petty things as 'YOU ARE DIFFERENT! DIE NOW!!', but now we're gonna use futuristic robots to fight in line with these primal urges? Maybe it's just getting harder to find an adequate supply of young, strapping men to go blow themselves up in the name of freedom, or oppression, or indifference, or whatever. I mean, I know I'm not willing....

So....

If both sides are fronting robot soldiers then there'd be no need for humans to show up, right?

As the robots will either be preprogrammed for combat or (much more fun) controlled remotely then war will be decided on two factors:

a) Whosoever can afford the best robots.

and

b) Who has the best video gamers.

Can I nominate Punthe for United States Army Chief Of Staff?

i imagine that only one side would really have the robots...

I expect sticks and rocks from the other, with the occasional explosive or two-generation old weaponry...

just like today.
