Seriously, miniaturisation. Cameras can already be made small enough to fit in the frame of a pair of glasses, microphones shouldn't be a problem either.

All that's left is a way to show these images on the lens of your glasses and a suitable power source and this thing is ready for the market.

And if I'm not mistaken, there's already some kind of technology around for the viewing part.
