Everyone thinks the big boys like the Audi's and the beamers would blow lesser "perceived" speed cars out of the water. Tell that to the Toyota Tundra.

Audi R8: 4.2L (13/20MPG) with just 414bhp (subtract 10-20% for HP) and 3439lbs. Performs worse than a GTR. $100K
Mercedes E 63 AMG:A gas guzzling (12/18MPG) 6.3L with 500HP; 4400lbs. $87K.
With an engine that huge and tuned by AMG, I wouldn't expect anything less from MB.

Honestly, if I had enough money to buy a R8, I would certainly not buy an Audi.
