So, reading through the forums I see many references to Firefly, and I'm curious - best series of the decade, or best series of the millennia?

Well I think I gave my loathing of the Alliance away in the DVD thread.

(I ended up watching all of D2 last night, just because it had been mentioned).

I'm impossibly and unwaveringly in love with The Man They Call Jayne.

I desperately love Firefly! I vote best series of the millennium! Every single thing about this show (with one teeny exception) makes me all tingly on the inside. :D

What's the exception? That Fox cancelled it? Or the thought that Reavers might come for you?

I didn't like the casting for River. :( I think Summer Glau was the weak point of the show.

I can see why you'd be nervous to express that notion. I personally thought she was great. She does ethereal and not quite there very well, and she has the grace of a ballerina (what with being a ballerina and all).



But I think I know what you mean - she is clearly the least experienced member of the cast. I didn't feel it was to the detriment of the show, and added to the awkwardness of River, especially as she seemed to have come more into her own by the time of Serenity.

All of which feels a little weird - we're both fans of the show, we have differing points of view about the show and this is the internet - should I not be using words and phrases like "lame" and "you suck"?

Or is this the ultimate proof of Plime's superiority over the rest of the internet?

I'm kicking myself black and blue - there was a screening of Serenity here in Phoenix this past weekend. I had the note up on my fridge for a month then forgot about it.

Looks like these guys do it everywhere!

I'll be ready for next year.

This is to show my nerdiness...my friends and I created a Serenity based LARP game...These are our characters. Mine in the midget up front, she's the merc (midget merc :-P) From Left to right: Bishop Shepard, Dr. Quinn, Savanah, Isis(me), Captain Angelus de Leon, and Twitch. Our ship was called Infinity, but since moving to Ohio we haven't had a chance to play. We last left off at me blowing up a casino with 570 people inside of it. :-D, btw did I mention my character is insane?

I dare say y'all know but this is the where and the why of Dr Horrible.

I'm quite excited.
