Yea I think that he is fine now. But why didn't he get as affected BEFORE when he time traveled after he got stuck in the bunker when it popped it's electro-magnetism? (Which I suppose is how this was happening to him, like Daniel Faraday asked).

Also, what's up with the auction scene? The ledger from The Black Rock (isn't that the boat on the island?) which they said was owned by a Hanso (Alvar Hanso runs DHARMA) and it was bought by Penny's DAD?!

Must have the answers to how to get to the island?

Of course lets not forget that there was supposed to be something special about Claire's baby in the first place (remember the psychic)

Well, she had the baby on the island, which no one else was able to do (all the women and babies were dying) so obviously the kid is special and must hold the key to having babies on the island, which if MY theory is correct, is really, really important (since in my theory they are trying to repopulate the Earth or populate an other-dimension Earth that has no humans).

Might have something to do with the time shift problem.

PS: What happened to my earlier post? It is empty...

Like that estranged professor guy said, it only happens when someone has exposure to radiation or high levels of electro-magnetism. Remember when the hatch blew? That's when Des started having visions, and I also believe that that was the electro-magnatism exposure that resulted in him doing this body-leap thing.

I don't think that has anything to do with anything, I think it was just "Oh look, the Black Rock. What a coincidence." sort of thing.

There are no coincidences on Lost.

There are also no coincidences in Harvest Moon...

So, does Des have his full memory back now or what? Is he considered "fixed"?

Yeah I mentioned the hatch! Anyways, think about the auction like this:

The Black Rock is on the island. The logbook from it belonged to the Hanso family (which runs DHARMA) and was auctioned off to Penny's dad. The auctioneer even said that the contents of the book were known ONLY by the Hanso family. So, now you have the Hansos and Penny's family who knows what's in the logbook.

THEN, Penny's dad decides to have a race around the world via boat. Someone just happens to give Des a boat so he takes up the challenge. Is it a coincidence that Penny's dad made the race? Or is he following the path of the Black Rock to figure out how to get to the island?

As was said before, there are no coincidences.

I absolutly loved this weeks episode. I watched it twice. The auction must be about how Penny finds out about the island (In the end of the episode on the phone she said she was researching.) Maybe some part of some episode will show penny reading through the book just for people who didnt pick up on that.

EDIT: How did Des know what faraday looked like if he couldn't remember who anyone was (Plot Hole)

After asking if he was Daniel Faraday, he said that he was told that he could be found here. He seemed pretty wacked out, so they could have discribed how he acted to Desmond... making him quite easy to find.

Or maybe he asked someone at the school where he was? Or maybe he looked up his picture somewhere? Or maybe he is psychic and we just haven't learned that yet? Or maybe it's a tv show and we're all wasting too much time trying to figure it out?

EDIT: Err... forget that last sentence. We are GOING to figure this out!!

I hate to say this but I'm starting to get annoyed with Lost. I will continue watching it because it's like an itch that needs scratching, but who in their right mind would put up with an itch that lasted for years and got itchier before it got better.

I have a lot of issues and one of these is the need for closure, something which Lost has offered very little in the past 3 seasons.

I've heard this complaint from others before. Previously I would mention that they hadn't settled on a set number of episodes so it was difficult for them to start wrapping things up, but they have that contract now so they should be wrapping things up nicely in the next two (or is it three) seasons.

"On May 7, 2007, ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson announced that Lost will end during the 2009–2010 season with a "highly anticipated and shocking finale."[58] "We felt that this was the only way to give [Lost] a proper creative conclusion," McPherson said. Beginning with the 2007–2008 television season, the final 48 episodes of Lost would have been aired as three seasons with 16 episodes each, with Lost concluding in its sixth season. Due to the writers strike, the fourth season has only 13 episodes and, according to creators' plans, the final 2 seasons will comprise 35 episodes.[59]

Executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse stated that they "always envisioned Lost as a show with a beginning, middle, and end," and that by announcing when the show would end that viewers would "have the security of knowing that the story will play out as we've intended."

In the meantime, Sci Fi Channel and G4 have purchased the rights to broadcast reruns of Lost beginning in the fall of 2008.[60]"

HOLY CRAP! That episode was something else. It was driving me crazy! GAH! My question is: How is Des Daniel's constant??? What is the connection with Des? I think he will be okay. I love the "Leap" reference by DEP. Hahaha. I half expected Daniel to break into the String Theory(only a Leaper would get that one!) Back on track...I am left wanting more. Tune in next week...

After a good night's sleep--sort of--I was thinking of one reason why Desmond wasn't affected by the mind/time travel the first time. They were just flashes. He even said, "I get these flashes" So he wasn't gone long enough to cause harm. These ones in the last episode he believed he was in the past until he made contact with Penny. The other times in those other episodes he never forgot where he was or who anyone on the island was.

And on a side note: What IS in that ledger. I don't believe it was a coincidence either. It could be I suppose, just to throw you off track of something else. But as Icepigs said, "There are no coincidences on Lost."

des is daniels constant because daniel now knows des in the past and present. maybe the note was to remind of dan who to look for if he starts having flashes. i think that daniel is worried he might start having them (or maybe he already is having them and we don't know). he told des to fix the problem you have to know someone in the past (that you're flashing to) and present, and now dan knows des in the past at school and here on the island.
