There isn't much worth viewing for anyone with half a brain no matter what your age. The networks produce garbage except for their news and weather.

If it weren't for some sporting events, an occasional show like Dangerous Catch, some HBO series, (Sopranos, The Wire etc.) and the use of the TV as a vehicle for viewing DVD's it would be totally useless.

I will watch most of my favorite TV shows online (or in the case of "Lost") rent the series on DVD.

We watch all the series we like on DVD. Our library has a huge selection of movies and TV series that are free, surprisingly up to date also.

One advantage is not waiting a week for the next episode. Disadvantage is waiting until the season is over for the DVD.

Nothing is perfect but the price is right.

wouldn't constantly marketing to a certain age group make it worse for any other age group to try and even remotely handle watching something without a depends commercial coming on every 5 minutes?

I don't watch TV to enhance my thinking. I watch it to entertain me. I don't pay attention to commercials because most of them are stupid anyway. And I am far below the average age. Okay maybe not FAR...but not real close either.
