I was at the Mets/Cubs game at Shea yesterday with a group from my office.
The 5 run, bottom of the ninth comeback was probably the most exciting inning I've ever seen in person. Everyone in the stands were on their feet the entire time. I've never high-fived so many people, friends and strangers! No one wanted to leave the stadium!
We joined the hoards for the Flushing line subway back to Grand Central Station. The conductor is definitely smoking something.
"Thank you for riding the 7 train. Today is a beautiful day. I hope you have had a chance to be outdoors and enjoy the beautiful weather. As the Zenmaster said to the hot dog vendor, 'peace is happiness'".
And then..."If your car is crowded, imagine how hard it would be to play 'Twister'"

This commentary was repeated in different versions several times during the half hour ride.
Edited to add: We were 'fueled up' but not as much as the conductor!

One guy thought it was a recording since he repeated himself almost verbatim at each stop (and it was a local train). Occasionally, he would announce transfer points at the stations too.
