So the plan is I will be in New York for 4 days in the beginning of Feb with my two sisters and possible a friend of theirs, if everything goes as planned. The only thing I have planned so far is to go to The Secret Stashand CBGB. I know we are going to do the tourist stuff during the day but I want to attend a couple of shows. So I am asking..nay begging for help with setting a cool itinerary on what to do and how to get around. Any sites that will help me locate what bands are gonna be where and whatever else you think I shouldn't miss. I will gladly pay you back by taking you to have a pint.(only if you are in New York, all others will have to wait until the Plime outing of 08.).

South Street Seaport is always fun. While you're there you can see Bodies - The Exhibition. Extremely cool.

I know we are going to be staying on Manhattan Island in a hostile.The only plans we have so far are we will spend a day going out to Red bank. My sister wants to do a Sex in the city tour or something like that, I do not. Someone suggested a double decker and to sit on top but this is winter, do the buses still go out when it snows/rains?

Red Bank, NJ? Are you certain it's not a "Clerks" tour?

The Red Bank trip is my idea. I know the Secret Stash is there but I had no idea there is a clerks tour. Is the convince store they hang out front of in Red Bank or is it just a set?

No it's real but it's in Leonardo, not far from there.

There's no "clerks" tour that I know of but you could make an impromtu one.

Here is the update: We have bought our rooms and tickets and are leaving on Feb 7 and will be there for the weekend. We are not totally sure on the itinerary yet but we are getting there. My sister has told me that you used to be able go to certain corner stores and ask for a nic. I wonder if this is still the case. If someone knows anything PLEASE pm me. Syko my offer to buy you a pint is still valid,I want to try this spot.My sister wants to go to the Turkey's Nest but I am not to sure about this place. Has anyone ever been to either of these places?

The Secret Stash is definitely in Red Bank. I've been in there and it's a cool shop. Too bad I'll be away starting Feb 6, otherwise I would try to hook up with you in NYC or Red Bank - my BF lives about 15 minutes from there - I was there yesterday.

Oh you can take the train from Penn Station to Red Bank (NJ Transit). It's a few blocks walk to Broad Street from the train station.

There are tour buses that have the upper level glassed in. I started seeing them recently. I'll try to pay attention to the name on the bus next time I see one.

I hate to be the be the bearer of bad news, but gentrification took over the Bowery and CBGB's is no longer there. After a massive court battle, the building owners won out, kicked out the club and it is being replaced with a John Varvatos Store(high end clothing designer that no one can afford or wear unless they are a model).

It Sucks.
