Ok so I am a little behind in computer times, and just got Google Earth. What are some of the most intesting things that you have found or seen using Google Earth?
I teach Jack London's Call of the Wild. I use Google Earth to show students the route Buck takes on his travels from his home in California to the Yukon.
I found the Bird Flu supermap interesting. It shows, with the help of coloured "tree branches", how the H5N1 virus travelled by linking locations of reports of the disease.
Plime is an editable wiki community where users can add and edit weird and interesting links. Users earn karma when other users vote on their actions. The more karma you have, the more power you have at Plime.
I should also add that I'm pretty much a goole earth addict, and that I find it incredibly useful to use in combination with other information.
I can go look at debris flows on volcanoes in Chile, or at concentric normal faults bounding rift margins, or large-scale folding in Archean rocks, or avalanche scars, etc.
