Yup, St Svithun, the hospital hotel. Only place with any rooms and I booked it in April.
Doesn't help that the Beach volleyball tournament brings 200,000 visitors to this small city. We were there in 2006 during the tournament too, but that time I booked my hotel room in February.
At least it will be quiet at the hotel.
Edited to add: I'll be gone June 25-July 11. July 4-11 will be touring Ireland. Will try to check in. ICE contact Bornbad.

« badbud:PLEASE!!! You must post the amenities list! LOL I took a couple of pictures the one and only night we were there. Have to wait 'till I return to post them. Got rescued by my cousin, Thor (I kid you not, that is his name) and whisked away to a lovely hotel right in the center of town.
Which brings us now to the ***cough*** hotel[/***cough***] in Kristiansand, Norway. Our friends, being friends, checked in for us the day before, and collected the keys and our linens. Yes, they needed to collect our linens from a barracks style hotel called Centrum Budget Hotel.
Our 'hotel', the Nybyen Motel and Apartments looks ok online, right? Booked it in April when there wasn't a single room available for the time, because a major music festival, Quart, was taking place while we were here.(festival was cancelled very recently)
Our friends pulled up to the gate, and we thought it was a joke. Those photos on the site must have been taken 30 years ago. It looked like a great place for a shooting gallery. I do have pictures of the room. We booked out of there quickly, found another place for 3 times the price, but at least it was livable.
Oh, and did I mention that a skateboard park was right next to it, along with a major construction site? Nice and quiet location.
Leaving very early tomorrow for Dublin. One day there, then 5 day rail tour of the country, then 2 days back in Dublin.
Happy Tunguska to all of my plimates!
