Have you ever seen a ghost or experienced something similar? Posted: 1 year ago by
DEP and I were talking about UFO's and it got me wondering how many of you have ever experienced something a little more down to Earth... like a ghost or the "paranormal?"
A personal experience...
My friend lived in a VERY old house. He was convinced it was haunted. I never gave it much consideration until I spent an evening over there. We were the only ones in the house, yet we heard people running back and forth on the floor above us and saw what looked like hands gripping the ra...

vintage toys. Posted: 6 months ago by
when i was young (REALLY young), my dad bought me a talking big bird doll. it was kind of like one of those teddy ruxpin dolls. he took cassette tapes, and i would do read-alongs with him. it was absolutely magical. i loved him so much that my dad took me all around the island looking for the cookie monster version. we finally found him, and i loved them both. i think i was the happiest kid in the world (except maybe for those damn lucky b*****d kids who got those life sized power wheels and got to ri...

I'm perfectly fine and okay.... Posted: 1 month ago by
.... but the helicopter I was in sure isn't. The tail rotor got smashed off on a rock this morning, and after a bit of spinning we managed to come to a jolting halt and walked out unscathed. I'm not sure if I'm permitted to post pictures yet, but if/when I am, I definitely will. The tail rotor's in shreds, well, what's left of it is, and the tail boom's all smashed up. Here's why I feel hardcore, though: after establishing that our "rescue" floatplane could pick the other geologist and I...

Am I the Hero... or the Goat? Posted: 1 month ago by
I live in an apartment in a house. Above me, the owners of the house… a young couple with 3 children… and a cat. Last week, they went on vacation, and I watched the cat for them. Tonight, something interesting happened. At about 1:30a I was walking into my apartment, about to unlock the door, when I notice something out of the corner of my eye. I spin around, and there walking down the steps behind me... is a cat. A gray and black striped cat, with white paws. A cat, that suspiciously lo...

For those of you who remember life before the internet, and were amazed by it when it became available to the masses... What was the first site, or internet search you made? I entered `toilet seats` into the search engine just to see if `everything` really was on the internet...then went to the MTV website for a little Liquid Television...no video, just pics of Aeon Flux, The Head, The Maxx, etc. And then when nobody was looking...Well, you probably did it too..prOn!!...

Google Seppuku Posted: 7 months ago by
You go to Google image search and copy from a Japanese website random Japanese letters into the search box (I suggest using around 2-3 to get a good number of results). Point system is based on counting how many images you see until you find one that makes you wish you had some eyebleach at hand. 10 images: 1000 points (last image of second line) 9 images: 100 points (4th image of second line) 8 images: 10 points (third image of second line) 7 images: 1 point (second image of second line) under 7 or over...

Jew Posted: 7 months ago by
My wife is a substitute teacher. She tells lots of interesting stories. This month she told me that there is a new phenomenon in our school district. In some schools kids started to say "thats jewish" instead of "that sucks" or "that must be jewish" instead of "that is broken". She usually puts a stop to this kind of behavior, still as a new thing she thinks it is kind of frightening. It happens mainly in Junior Highs, she did not encounter with it in High Schools or ...
