Man alive, you folks are tripping. You know, it's really old man McGee and he's in a rubber costume, trying to scare you away from the abandoned carnival so he can sell it to investors from Japan who want to build townhouses on the property.

I once saw a ghostly figure near the spot where my mom died. I think she's watching over me. And she said she saw her father in this house as well. Its haunted, but in a good way.

there was this dad who had a son that got killed. but the love they shared was so strong it became another entity... a ghost, a spirit. AND....it was HOLY!!! and now i worship it every sunday. all three of them. so yeah i believe in ghosts.

It'll be sort of disappointing. They all look like fog. But it wasn't a foggy day.

Should I post my ghost/strange stories here, or is this thread just too old and we're just waiting for DEP to post his pictures?

Hmm... I have a lot of odd stories that can't be explained, so I guess I can start off with the one I've always considered really stupid. I'll probably come across as insane for telling this story, and even my husband still occasionally jokes about it.

When my husband and I got married, we ended up getting a "fixer-upper" house really cheap, because the previous owner had died in the house, after living there for seventy-two years, and his children wanted nothing to do with the place.

The house came with some old furniture, and all kinds of odd things in the garage and basement. One of the pieces of furniture was an old couch. It wasn't pretty, but it was in reasonably good condition, and it was already there, so I figured we could use it for a few years.

While sitting on the couch I witnessed some strange things... mostly cats that weren't there, and a cute kitten that I would occasionally see scampering across the room to jump up beside me, then disappear. I wasn't scared of these things, just fascinated, because, really, how scary can a fuzzy little kitten be?

Within a year of getting the house, we had our first baby. While she was still a sedentary, pooping, blob of cuteness, I would put her on the floor in the middle of the living room, while I sat on the couch and watched her. During one of these "play time" sessions, the baby had fallen asleep and I was doing the whole new mom thing of staring at her in amazement, and probably glad that she wasn't busy pooping, when I felt the couch get bumped.

At first I thought my husband had come in from the kitchen, where he was making dinner, so I turned to look, and there was nobody else in the room. As I watched, the cushion next to the one I was sitting on dented, as if someone had just sat there, only I couldn't see anyone. I don't know why I wasn't scared, but, much like with the disappearing kitten, I was just kind of fascinated an wondered what was going on.

I sat there staring at the dented cushion for about a minute, and was beginning to think I had imagined the movement, when the cushion shifted, as if the invisible person was leaning away from me, or just shifting their weight. Then it happened. At the apex of the invisible lean, a long fart noise emitted from the cushion next to me, followed by the dent returning to where it had been at first, and then raising back to normal height, as if whoever was there had left - presumably to avoid the smell, although I never caught a whiff of anything.

That's got to be the best ghost story I ever heard. First cute little kittens, and then a farting ghost. Doesn't get better than that!

i my old house there was this ball of light that floated around my room. I named him JJ or jesus junior. I even have a picture of me and him but its not digital so i cant share it (if i can even find it)

and in the house im in now i always see a black shadow in the corner of my eye when im on the computer. its by the stairs and it looks like its got a female human shape but im almost certian thats just a trick of the eye but its fun to pretend

ok here are the pictures. they were taken while driving through one of the carolina's, on a street with a bunch of old estates were. it was coming up on the end of the day, but it was a pretty clear day. we were taking the pictures because the houses were pretty sweet looking.

this first picture shows a normal home without anything seemingly amiss. note the lack of for, and the overall clarity of the image.


right next door, however were these shots of the same home. we didn't see anything when taking the pictures, this only showed up on the film afterward.






and this is the house after, only scanned for you to show that nothing appears to be in front of it. all three of these houses were neighbors.




those who have seen me on worth1000 can attest to my lack of photoshop skills as well as the prgram itself. if youn look at my mspaintwars entries, you will see that i am by no means an artist. it was not fog, there was no fog. don't give me that camera malfunction crap. and yes, i am aware of how stereotypically ghost-like that second image of the ghosts are.

all the ghost pics in the thai movie "shutter" are supposed to be real. then me and my sis made our own but we didn't do so well.

Yeah, I see all kinds of faces and shapes in the fog there. That is COOL!!! Of course, the human brain is wired to see faces in random shapes, but still!!

I HAVE seen/experienced ghosts. There was a ghost dog in a house in Lake Elsinore. I was there alone, and I saw a little terrier dog run through 2 rooms, turn a corner, and run THROUGH a closed door! Kewl.

My husband's mother died of cancer over a decade ago, but I have known since my first night here that she was around. Noises, sensing her, waking in the middle of the night to interesting visions...

I was in the Officer's House at Fort Tejon many years ago. I heard kids playing upstairs, and turned to say to be careful on the stairs as there was no handrail, and found that I was alone in the house!

Also, A DEAR friend was caretaker at the Drum Barracks in Wilmington (Los Angeles suburb). He had MANY strange things happen there, it is known to have at least 2 ghosts, one of whom is MEAN! It was on a ghost show many moons ago, I'm trying to get TAPS to go there too!

We did a CW reenactment the week of Halloween, and spent the night in tents in the yard. I woke up and went inside to use the bathroom, and heard heavy boots on the stairs. Again, alone in the house.

Seen things, heard things, sensed things.. Prescience? Yeah, for a few weeks before, all we could talk about was the upcoming earthquake in 1994. I remember saying I needed to leave a party, but bf at the time was not wanting to leave. Then the cops came after things got weird, and the bf was like "ok, I need to listen when you say it's time to go!"

Can sometimes talk to animals and understand their responses... Apparently not chows tho...

I'd sooner believe my brain was malfunctioning than I would believe something paranormal was occuring.

Are you implying there's something bad about not being irrational? Dude, at least I'm not seeing dog ghosts.
