My music theory class was talking about ghosts the other day, and they were talking about this insane asylum like a half an hour from where we live and they closed it down because of the horrible treatment given there, and there are all these seceret rooms and some of them were only recently discovered and when they closed the place down they just left people in these secret rooms and the authorities didnt know about them so now they are finding people chained to chairs and things just left to die there and there skeletons are still just sitting there. I dont know if this is real or not but there is no way I'm gonna go find out on my own.

They did name the place and where it was I just dont remember I'll have to ask about it again tommarow. I live pretty close to Philadelphia, I don't think that the place is in the city though

Yes. I have experienced ghosts. I also made others experience them. The human brain can do weird things. Well obviously there were no ghosts at all around there.

There is a ghost girl in my house. Smarty1052 was the first to discover her in a photo, but i'll let him explain that one if he wants.

I have had many 'encounters' with her. the latest one i was downstairs in my basement playing xbox360. it was on a 27" screen, so a pretty nice size TV. my basement is split up into two sides. The laundry room side, and the carpeted playroom. Well the door to the laundry room was halfway open, as it usually is, and a light was on in there. i had my back to the laundry room, as i was in the play room. i powered off my xbox360 w/ the wireless controller. and i was staring into the black TV screen, i noticed in the reflection the lights were going 'funny' in the laundry room. instead of turning around i continued looking in the reflection. and i SAW a white figure move across the doorway in the laundry room. i did not immediately turn around. i eventually made my way to the laundry room about 5seconds later (scared $h!tless, lol) and slowly opened the door fully. and looked behind it. i didnt see anything and ran upstairs, lol.

It's strange that I came across this thread as I can't get back to sleep after the 'Thing in the Bedroom' scared me again. Our house is not haunted; just one corner of the bedroom. From the ceiling above the bedroom door and covering part of the door is this presence. It doesn't move, it has a shape that's not square but not round and covers a 2 foot width and 4 foot length of the ceiling and covers the top two feet of the door, just enough to make me not want to go through the door when I'm terrified. Sometimes it's very visible and sometimes is more of feeling, but it is always there. Some nights I'll wake up and it will be so dense that I can see it in the dark. It feels mean and calculating and rarely do we go through a night where my partner or I (or both) end up sleeping on the couch.

Fascinating! How did you find out it's there?
