Thank you Mr. Repairman for calling AC. Poor goat. I'm sure it's in much better hands now.

Reminds me when I was home from college and working at the Hotel Hershey at their riding stables. The Amish man that made repairs to our carriage that we used for weddings, said they had a baby goat that they were going to kill because he had a crooked jaw. We already had a stable goat, so decided 2 would be nice. We drove to Lancaster County in my '80 Honda Civic wagan. Put the back seats down and loaded him in the back. You should have seen the looks we got driving down the highway on the way home.

He turned out to love people. Followed them around like a dog. But the golfers (and the greens keeper) did get annoyed when he ran across the golf course.

The goat had been painted purple and gold - the colors for the Minnesota Vikings. Shaved into its side was the No. 4 - the number of Brett Favre, who made his Vikings debut Friday night in a preseason game in the Twin Cities.

I bet if they succeeded in sacrificing the poor goat... it'd continue coming back to haunt them... like Brett.

I'm so glad they called animal control! That poor goat! Goats are one of my favorite animals.

I love goats. I had one, we bought her for a fair project for my son and knowing nothing about them for showing, she was too old when we got her.

So, she became my foals best friend, ran with the horses in the pasture and headbutted my rottweiler.

Her name was Daisy and she just died this past year.

The foal (now full grown mare) that loved her for 11 yrs from the day she was born was devastated. She called for her. And whenever she heard the bell that hung around Daisy's neck she would look for her.

Goats are so cute and full of life. I hate the fair in a way, I hate to see the market goats. I know they are not going home. :(

When I was a kid, we went to visit a friend of my mom's that had a goat. I was out in the back yard playing tag with it. Seriously. We were chasing each other and when I would chase it, he would jump off the side of the barn with all four feet to get away from me. (no fair)

He finally wore me out and I went inside to rest. He stood out there bleating for me to come back out. My mom finally said, "would you go back out and play with him so he'll shut up?"

I'm sure I slept really well that night. :D

Goats are one of my favorite animals. They are so funny. Snuggly farm animals. I want to have some goats again someday. They just make me smile.

My kids raised lambs, pigs and cows for fair. We couldn't do a market goat. That is an animal I get too attached too.
