News photographer fired for urinating in cemetary during soldier's funeral
"I feel like I did nothing wrong except take care of business. If I went in my pants, that would be really unprofessional. If anybody saw me, you know, walking around - it would have froze. So I'd have icy urine on my pants." picked by BrownTrout 1 year ago

"Urinating behind a statue of Mary in a Catholic cemetery within clear view of a public road, not to mention the numerous members of the Army who were on hand for the funeral, is inexcusable."

At least go behind a tree or something, jeez dude! He's lucky the soldiers didn't kick his ass.

Well when you gotta go, you gotta go. Holding it, just isn't an option. Urinating your pants just to show "respect" would be asinine.

Now, VoodooPeacock made a perfect comment. Go behind a tree where no one can see you. Go a good distance from the burial site where not as many people. You wouldn't be being disrespectful then.

So, yes the guy was an idiot

So I guess under his reasoning, he'd be perfectly within etiquette standing right over the body and doing it?

I mean, you gotta go you gotta go! :)

He has a point that he didn't have much choice, but man. At least hide it like VP said, stand behind a bush or tree, not just in plain sight.

I can understand the network's actions though. It's bad for the company name if someone does that.

My grandfather passed away a little less than a week ago... and there was an office in the middle of the cemetary. My family met there, talked with the rent-a-rabbi, and (ironically) went to the bathroom.

Although the bathroom did kinda suck... it was better than going behind a tree!

i have no doubt that many cemetaries do have offices, restrooms, etc. my not so well made point was that not all of them do, especially in small towns like the ones i grew up in. the story does't say one way or the other. all of which is beside the point, don't piss in the graveyard!
