I was born and raised in Michigan, until I was 10. We camped all over the state including the UP. Never saw a glimpse, nor heard the beast.

I lived in Marquette area for 10 years.. I spent 18 months in southern Marquette county.. in an area south of Little Lake. This was a swampy area.. not too many folks around, just kinda out in the middle of nowhere.
Now... I know what coyotes sound like, and bears don't howl (at least at night).. I know what a fox sounds like and they're not all that loud. I have heard sounds from the swamp that curdled my blood.. and scared me to getting back to the shack. I swear.. there is something out there.
