You know he would be facing much more than probation. Well, I think the reason she got the lighter sentence was because of the actual court procedure itself.
I read that the judge said he was prepared to give a lighter sentence, unless anyone objected or saw reason to increase the punishment.
When they looked at Mr. Dott, all he said was, "WHAT?! SPEAK UP! WHAT?!"
So they had to leave it at that.
