Paranormal investigators are trying, but so far failing, to find an explanation for reports of visions of a child dressed in a Victorian style causing late night traffic accidents in Halesowen.

When i lived in CT me and theis "girl" i was dating at the time were driving around at about 1am in near lighthouse point in New London. Lots of old out of use factories line the streets. no one was out on the road, heck no one was out at all. We were driving really slow and almost like a imagination placed in reality i see a guy in overalls and a blue cap walk in front of the car. now it wasnt just in front of the car but from the right, walks through the fender, hood/engine area, then left fender. as the guy past through the left fender he kinda just vanished. i though nothing of it, wrote it off as my overactive imagination. till the "girl" i was dating says "did you friggin see that!" kinda freaked me out.

I swear the house I grew up in was haunted. We had this little toy piano in our room when I was a little kid and one morning, right before sun up, I rolled over and saw a shape sitting at it just looking at the keys.
I couldn't stop looking at it and it seemed like forever but after a few minutes, it turned towards the window and vanished.
To this day I don't know if it was just a dream or not.

I've actually almost crashed my car into a light pole after seeing very vividly a bluish translucent woman hovering in the middle of a dark road at night, also wearing Victorian clothing. This was before I ever did drugs and it was very real and very horrifying. She wasn't mean looking or anything; she was just there. Blank. Staring. I drove my car through her (not purposefully) and my arm went through her (or she went through my arm). Oh my gosh, it was the most real and most horrifying thing ever. I have since decided to be atheist. It must have been the lighting.

More ghost stories!
« vexingmodstwo : I swear the house I grew up in was haunted. My dad is pretty sure that the house he grew up in was haunted as well. His dad was a very abusive alcoholic, and there were times when he'd come home drunk and be trying to get one of the kids, but the door wouldn't open, no matter how hard he tried, he could not get it. My dad is pretty sure that a good haunting was there to keep him and his siblings alive.
We had a bad haunting at the house I was born in. It wouldn't leave my mom alone so we moved.
I walked by a murdered children's cemetery at night once before I ever knew there was a cemetery (I couldn't see it) and I heard children screaming. I later found out what that place is and that others have heard the screaming too. Oh hey, I just got goosebumps. Maybe it's cold in here.
Last one..
Last Halloween, I was sleeping and had a dream that some of the old students from Haskell came to me and showed me what it was like being at Haskell back in the day. It was horrible. I talked to my super cool English professor about it the next day and she mentioned that while I was having the dream, the Haunted Haskell tour was going on. She told me that the spirits were being very playful that night and that they were loving the attention. She thinks that a few of them came to me in my dream and told me their story.

I had tickets to his show the night sam kennison died. we weren't supposed to know, but we heard the security talking in hushed tones about how to tell the crowd there would be no show.
my boyfriend and I quietly left and decided to drive to the mountains and star gaze. about half way up the winding road there was a man, about what the typical Jesus representation looks like- wearing all white.
To one side there was a cliff, the other a mountain. there was no where to go.
Being so late and so desolate, we turned around to see if this person needed help. It took less than 15 seconds to pull off and turn around.
The person had vanished. We thought perhaps he fell down the ravine, absolutley no sign of anyone or anything after an hour.

The first house we lived in, when I was growing up, was occupied by more than us living people. I mean I was only 5 when we moved so I don't have any recollections, but my sister, brother, and my Mother all had experiences that tell me we were absolutely sharing that little house. Nothing bad ever happened there...not like Poltergeist or any of those. I can tell you nothing unusual ever happened in the house we moved into.

Follow up to my story above... I had never told my family about this incident. Mainly because I didn't know if it was a dream or not, but also because I shared a room with my brother who was younger and would've been scared sh*tless.
We eventually moved and when I was a senior in HS, my mother and I were talking about the old house and she told me she had, on more than one occasion, heard someone walking up the stairs and when she'd go see who it was, there was no one there. She never said anything while we lived there because she didn't want to freak us out.

The house that I grew up in had something in it. My mom said that sometimes when it was really quiet in the house she would suddenly realize that she could hear women's voices. When she actually started listening trying to hear what they were saying, she couldn't hear them anymore. I was too little to ever remember hearing anything, but after we moved out, another family moved in who had a daughter in my grade. When we were older I asked her if she ever heard voices like my mom did. She got all wide eyed and said that both her and her mother had heard women's voices in the house, but her dad and brothers never heard anything at all. Turns out, the house was built around the 1920's by two sisters who had never married. My mom thinks that what she heard were like fingerprints from the past. I'm just glad I didn't ever hear anything.

My father was a deeply spiritual and religious man. After my sister's son died at 9 months of age, one day in church Dad saw him being carried in the arms of Joe, one of his buddies from prison camp (WWII). We learned a few weeks later that Joe had died shortly before my nephew.
After my father's grandfather's death, he heard him walking up the back steps of their house, jangling his keys when he entered, just as he always did. My father was a child then and very receptive to the spirit world, a quality he retained throughout his life.
Dad told the tale of his mother recalling from Poland the glowing souls of dead soldiers from "The War" (WWI) hovering over the fields at night. They disappeared when she prayed for them.
There are more stories, but that's enough for now.

@$@#^! How come I never see ANYTHING?! That would be so cool to see something. A ghost, an alien, a UFO....freakin anything! But noooooo. I get to see NOTHING! It's not fair. Then again, I have this theory that if I did see something convincingly paranormal or otherworldly, I'd spend the next few hours in not much longer trying to figure out how my friends pulled one over on me again.

Okay, one more.
My older sister did not date in high school. She was very pretty, but also very studious and shy. More than one young man had a crush on her, I think it's safe to say. One of them, in particular, was B., a well-liked, entertaining young man. B. told Carol she was beautiful and laughed and joked. He was a clown; perhaps he wished he was taken more seriously - it's hard to say. Shortly after high school, we were all shocked to learn he had hanged himself. After his death, he repeatedly appeared in Carol's dreams. He asked her to join him. She was perplexed and upset by the dreams. She was very frightened, but eventually (yes - in her sleep) told B. he was dead now and he had to stop bothering her. He never showed up in another dream.
