It may be creepy to the author of the piece, but I think it's a great idea. It's a lot more useful than a cigar, the recipients can eat the rice and the left over bag makes a great memento.

I like the idea. After you eat the rice you can stuff it and keep it. (Tho I probably wouldn't eat it. I wouldn't want to ruin it)
