The smoking ban became effective here in Germany on July 1st, too (at least in my federal state, which was one of the last to get it). So far the only thing that has changed is that all the places I go have been turned into smokers clubs -i.e. you're given a piece of paper with a number, and sometimes the handwritten words "membership card" on it. I wonder how long we'll get away with that.
Edit: Isn't it funny that smoking weed is still tolerated in Dutch coffee shops as long as there's no tobacco in the mix?

It sure as hell beats the smell of industrial cleaners and piss?
Still, I don't understand reproducing the smell of smoke; why not get some air freshener?
