Officer Threatened Starbucks Managers For Free Coffee
Officer Threatened Starbucks Managers For Free Coffee
"If something happens, either we can respond really fast or we could respond really slow. I've been coming here for years and I've been getting whatever I want. I'm the difference between you getting a two-minute response time, if you needed a little help, or a 15 minutes response time." picked by coldbladed 2 months ago

I was just logging in to post this.

I can't believe all that happened is the cop got fired.

He should have been arrested and charged with extortion at the very least.

Instead all he gets is fired? Bulls**t

Jail is too good for this guy.

Trust me, it is enough for a cop to be stripped of his badge and humiliated in front of his peers and the city that he'd swear he'd protect.

FOR. A. STUPID. LATTE.

Now he has no badge, he has no honor, he has no dignity and he is branded a morally corrupt human being.

His best course of action for a job after this is rent-a-cop, and even at that, I doubt that they would hire him as such.

He is pretty much f**ked...

Not that I side with this guy, but polygraph tests really don't prove anything.

Hmm... not sure 'too good' is the right way to describe what prison could be for him...

Outside, he's a disgraced ex-cop; inside, he's a cop, which could carry a far higher price than they intended...

Just about any job I had, we would offer coffee to officers and encourage them to protect our store. I have never heard of an officer DEMANDING it. Getting free coffee is a privledge. Not a right. What an a*****e.

hehe, I was actually pleasantly surprised to see that he was fired, all too often I read articles about crooked cops and all that happens is they are put on paid leave, which always pisses me off because that just sounds like a vacation to me.

There probably wasn't enough conclusive evidence to charge him with extortion. Like Manga-Fox said, a polygraph test isn't proof.

Although in this case I'll believe that he really was lying.

I don't undsertand your statement. This has nothing to do with coffee. It has to do with people abusing their power for the wrong reasons and some people refusing to let the bullying continue.

I understood he made a joke, but I don't understand how not drinking coffee has any relevance to this, hence my question. =0)

I honestly always thought that cops get to eat for free. So i definitely thought coffee would be free. I guess the issue here is the threat he made then? Because as a kid growing up i was saying how if i were a cop I'd go to Mc Donalds everyday. This went right along the lines with a Cop doesnt have to pay to ride on the bus, or go into a club.
