Identical twins marry, give birth to identical twins Posted: 1 month ago by AutumnLotus
When identical twin sisters Diane and Darlene Nettemeier met identical twin brothers Craig and Mark Sanders a decade ago, they could never have guessed just how much of their lives would be based around perfect sets of two.

It sounds like only one of the pairs of twins who got married had identical twin babies, although that is awesome.....it is not as awesome as what I originally thought happened.

million to one odds?? I hate it when people just throw out such a meaningless and in this case completely false phrase such as this. They obviously do not understand probability. "Million-to-one" is always used to mean highly unlikely even if the odds are not 1,000,000 to 1.

Basically you have a couple who each share a genetic trait who passed on that trait. Not that unusual.

I think the basic chance of having twins is somewhere around 3% (a far cry from .000001%)

The chance of a couple who are both twins themselves giving birth to twins is much much more likely. Even if only one of the parents the percentage jumps tremendously. The fact that both are makes it that much more likely.

If two really tall people had a kid who became really tall would it be unusual?

Sucks for that one kid in the photo who doesn't have a twin.

The little girls aren't twins either. Only the boys are.

Wait... can a set of twins marry another set of twins... or is that incest?

Even though they're "in-laws." Didn't know if there was "in-law" incest or not.

My dad was a twin. His twin had twins. One of those twins had twins. Not exactly an uncommon thing.
