"That's his own personal business," said Police Chief Jeff Turner. "That has nothing to do with the business of the Clayton County Police Department. As long as he's not engaged in any type of illegal activity, his business is his business."
Yeh, because who's business is it if a total nutjob carries a badge and a gun and makes life or death decisions on a daily basis?
I have visions of him flagging down a car in the middle of the night, breathless and excited..
"What's the problem officer, was I speeding?"
"No sir, I was just wondering if you'd seen an 8ft tall individual, covered in hair as you were driving along?!"
"Errrrr, no, sorry, is it an escaped prisoner?"
"No, Bigfoot. Thanks anyway"
*Runs back to car and screeches off*
"WTF?!"
*edit* Bigfoot downvoted me!!

I don't think a Bigfoot corpse would change the world. If Sasquatch does exist, it's just a species of large primate. Intriguing, but no more revolutionary than the proof that gorillas existed was 200 years ago.

He's probably gonna say something like, it wasn't really dead and it escaped, and take pictures of the destruction Bigfoot caused when he escaped. (hmmm apparently Bigfoot is a proper noun)

I sure would like to know where they got this supposed Bigfoot. Did they find it, already dead? Did they kill what they thought was an animal, and it turned out to be human?
Also, I had to laugh at Bigfoot Field Research Organization, calling the men idiots and saying it's a scam. Apparently they are the only ones who can have a Bigfoot sighting.

Right. They're going to sell it and are lax on the details of where they acquired it.
Dyer said he and Whitton plan to sell the Bigfoot body and make a lot of money.
"As of right now," he said, "we've been offered a million bucks for it, from a very credible source. But we'll make 10 times that. This will change history forever."
Sounds like a scheme to me...

No freaking way. I couldn't believe the headline - I live one county over and teach in Clayton County. Grew up there. Don't know these cops, but it's not our finest moment, is it?

Their insistence it will "change history forevery" is laughable. As Chamale already stated, this isn't [/ wouldn't be] revolutionary, except in some philanthropist and paleantological circles.
Hopefully, though, they do have a Sasquatch corpse. Hopefully it takes this dimwitted cash hungry cop to remove decades of stigma attached to these 'myths' so they can be researched properly.
There is no reason at all why Sasquatch can't exist, or why the Yeti can't exist. They win the 'Hide and Seek Champion of the World' prize when we find the b*****ds.
