funny ... he said the baby doll's voice is vague and the telletubby is distinct, but i can't pick up on what the tubby is supposed to be saying, but the baby doll is clear. though, the baby doll sounds like it's saying, "iglom in the light."

paradolia (however it's spelled) is the eye tricking the brain into seeing people or animals in inanimate objects; what is the word for the brain picking out words and phrases out of strange sounds?

i think it's pretty clearly just cooing. It isn't saying islam, it's making noises then says "mamamamama..."

I hear "iglam ithuh light" I can see how Fox would jump all over this thing, and to be honest, if I were an engineer making these things, I'd start messing with them. Heck, in 7th grade I altered the start up sequence for a computer so it played pron before you could log in. I didn't know that this would make ALL the computer do that though...

I hear it saying

Actually, I think that would be equally creepy.

Power of suggestion. People just hear what they want to hear. And it doesn't help matters that they closely cropped the offending section of sound and kept playing it over and over directly after the reporter says the phrase. I'm sure many just walked by and didn't hear a thing.

I agree, even Mike didn't pick up on the doll until after it was suggested, I hear it, but I think it's because I was told what it was saying. However, I do they the Teletubie is much clearer, I heard f****t, f****t, f****t right from the start.
