That is quite amazing. First I heard of it was on Today this morning. At the time of posting this, they've raised £97,000 after aiming for £5,000.

Follow up story:




And it seems they're competing head-to-head in a donation race with the Christian "Alpha bus".



Alpha aimed for 100,000 and has raised 300. Atheist bus aimed for 5000 and has just broken the 100,000.

Woot for rational thinking.

I wonder what reception a bus like that would get here in the southeastern US. I'd predict torches and pitchforks.


I have a "support science not superstition" bumper sticker. The last person to approach me ( I experience this behavior about twice every month or so) said "You must hate god".

Isn't that about like hating the Easter bunny? Santa Claus? Bugs Bunny?



I'm happy to see our older cousins across the pond are growing up faster than we are.
