Family angry supermarket won't personalize cake for their son. Posted: 12 months ago by Chez
His name? Adolf Hitler Campbell, of course. Not to be confused with his siblings, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell.

Don't you guys have rules about what is and what is not an appropriate name for a child?

People should be able to decide about names for their children all by themselves, unless their brain is too small to come up with names that won't harm their children in the long run.

I think that the names alone are reason enough for Child Welfare Services to take a long hard look at this family.

I agree with the market here as they do have the right to refuse service to anyone, especially if the franchise is owned by a Jewish individual (I don't know, but what if?)

I agree with the parents because they have a right to name their children what they want, even if those names invoke a period of human indecency and hate. (I truly hope that the children will grow up tolerant)

BTW... I love the tags

One of the comments said why don't they just put "Happy Birthday Adolph"? on the cake. I never see cakes with middle names.

This family is going to have a lot of problems in the future. Those poor kids.

I am sure the parents requested the middle names so that they would get attention from it. The kids are being used by their own parents and it truly is sad for them.

Would the parents have a right to name their child 'n****r Hater" or "Jew Killer" ?
Would the parents have a right to tattoo a swastika on their foreheads?

I think there are certain rights that can be scrutinized for the childs welfare.

Do they have the right to name their child "Gaza is being turned into a sewage-filled concentration camp by the state of Israel?"

just for the sake of equity in the argument...

So, in semi-related news, I just learned that my neighbors absolutely amazing sweet incredible friendly German shepherd (which he imported from Germany) is a direct descendant of Adolph Hitler's own German Shepherd.

There's hope for the children!

I'm not sure if you are just finding a way of making a anti-Israel/political statement, or that you have absolutely no clue as to what a Nazi concentration camp really was like.

or both.

I did not see where Holland Township is... (although I do believe that it is in Pennsylvania) I do have to point out that certain courts in Europe have stopped parents from naming their children certain names.

I do agree with you, Hoosk, that the parents did exercise poor judgement in naming their children those particular names, but no more than Pen naming his kid Moxy Crimefighter or Frank Zappa naming his kid Deezle and Moon Unit.

The first amendment alone, grants them the right to name their child what they want. Just like it also grants the Supermarket the right to refuse service.

These people are obviously complete f**k-heads.

I was initially going to say something pertinent about racism and parental rights but as I started to type I just thought, "God, what f**k heads".

What can you say?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Nope. Naming your kid isn't covered by First Amendment rights.

Frank Zappa gave his kid some ridiculous names, but these kids are going to get alot more than a name.

They are more than likely going to be homeschooled as any kind of public system would teach them that the values their parents hold so dear are hateful and ignorant.

They will grow up on a steady diet of hate and racism. The parents inherited the baggage of their parents and these kids are doomed to repeat the "sins of the father",walling kids off from the outside world gives you the most perfect piece of putty to mold any way you see fit.
